Clean room, friendly staff, and a beautiful view of the river off the back balcony. If you’re visiting Machias or just passing through, you should stay here!

Great place to stay! Watching the tide go in and out from back patio was awesome. Next time we'll check it out the area on a side by side for sure! Clean room, highly recommend👍

Great location, convenient to restaurants,gas stations and Dunkin,the closest breakfast place. The people at the office desk were as nice as any people I have ever dealt with, the Inn are lucky to have these people working for them.

Nice clean room with two double beds and a river view. Very nice folks that run the motel and gift shop. Easy to find, lots of free parking, restaurants and a brewery nearby.

This a wonderful place to stay!!! It's close to Jasper Beach, which is a favorite tourist location. The views from the room are great!! The rooms have been recently remodeled and are very well done. They even have a Keurig machine in each room. The service was great. We could not get reception on our tv, and the front desk sent someone to check it out. It was found that the roofers over the office had bumped the satellite dish out of alignment. We are very happy with our stay at this Inn!!!

We stayed at the Machias River Inn over the July 4th holiday weekend in the renovated king room on the first floor. The room was very nice with plenty of space and a very big bathroom. Beautiful view of the river. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The gift shop has great selections. We rented a side-by-side for half a day which was perfect. The trails are very nice. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is staying in the area. Oh and Helen’s restaurant, which shares the parking lot, is a great place to eat.

We stayed in two of their remodeled rooms. One room was a king room overlooking the water and the other was a “studio apartment” style room. Beautiful views, clean rooms, close to the ATV trails. Would definitely be back.

The Inn was wonderful!. Our room was in a recently renovated double queen with doors out to the river behind the hotel. The room itself was perfect! Beds were comfy, room was spacious and very clean. It had all the modern amenities for charging your electronic devices. The bathroom was great and the cleaning service was excellent. I enjoyed watching the osprey dive into the river and come up with a fish! Also, there is a wonderful gift shop attached to the hotel. It was a great place to stay and I would love to return some day.

We had a suite. Really nice. Had its own kitchen, 2 queen beds. And CLEAN. Even the bedding. I usually take my own sheets but this place was very clean and didn't smell like the last person that stayed there. The town was really nice too. And good places to eat. The Anchor I give a thumbs up. It didn't look like much but when they brought out our food, WOW!

I had a great stay at this property. I requested one of the newly renovated queen rooms on the 1st floor. It was peaceful and serene. I felt safe and secure. There is a nice gift shop in the lobby with unique items. The view of the river in the back was nice. The only negative is that there was no table or desk. They let me have a TV tray from the office which helped. The staff were extremely nice. My room was very clean. I would recommend and would stay again!

We were in the area for an event at UMM. Beautiful spot on the river and rich in history. Central to many trails and water activities like boating, fishing or site seeing.

Location is fantastic, right on the river. A quick walk across the parking lot to Helen’s for lunch or dinner. Rooms are nicely appointed and the river view units provide a great view of the river and nature. Have stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed.

Right out your back door is a small inlet! Beautiful view even from the bottom floor. As a former hotel maid, I can say the room was very clean. It's kinda like having you or own small cabin. There is a fore pit, but we visited in fall/winter so we didn't get to enjoy the outside much. If your visiting or passing through i would recommend this adorable inn. Walking distance to Hing garden restaurant and a gas station. Only a few minutes to the grocery store and dollar stores. Staff was helpful and kind. No breakfast or pool, but they don't need either to win my vote. First time in Machias and it was a good experience.

This place was amazing. Rooms were awesome and very clean. The twin brothers are both so nice. We rented a UTV from them as well. We had a great experience for our first time in Maine. Everything you need is very close to this place too. We are sad to leave.

The Inn’s hidden gem it the views from the rear deck. The doors have digital keypads, so no keys, liked this feature. Food at Mason’s across the street was good. The rooms have recently been renovated. Would recommend this inn and will stay here again.

Great location on the river. We were on the first floor behind the restaurant. Parked in front of the room's door and out the back sliders to the river. Gas firepit for guest to use. Very comfortable room/bed. The office had large muffins for purchase or you can go to the independent restaurant sharing the parking lot. Their food is very good. Big pieces of pie to tempt you for dessert!
